No, this is an elective ultrasound session for entertainment purposes, it does not take place of your medical care of diagnostic ultrasound done at your doctor’s office. We are not a diagnostic center, nor will you ever receive any medical advice since we are only performing an elective ultrasound that basically allows us to take images.
Q: IS THIS SAFE? ARE THERE ANY RISKS TO ME, OR MY BABY?
Extensive studies over many years have found that ultrasound has been shown to cause no harm to the mother or the baby, there is no form of radiation in this scan. 2D,3D, and 4D ultrasound utilize sound waves to look inside the body, the technology is similar to radar. A probe placed on the body emits sound waves, listen for the return echo and generates an images So yes, these ultrasounds are safe and it will not harm you or you baby.
Q: WILL I ALWAYS GET GOOD QUALITY IMAGES OF MY BABY?
We will make every effort to give you the best possible image of your baby. Unfortunately, sometimes the babies are not in the best position to attain a great image. We cannot promise that any image you have seen from any other facility will be similar due to reasons such as: The baby’s position, the amount of amniotic fluid, mothers body habitus, and placental position. The sonographer will try her best to get you the image quality you deserve.
Q: WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE THE IMAGE OF MY ULTRASOUND?
Water! Is the answer to how to improve your image. You should be drinking plenty of water even several days before your appointment. Water can dramatically improve the quality of your ultrasound.

No, this is an elective ultrasound session for entertainment and it will not be covered by your insurance.
Q: WILL MY DOCTOR BE CONTACTED ABOUT THE ULTRASOUND SESSION?
We do not contact your doctor prior to your scan because this is an elective procedure. However, we do require that you are under the care of a healthcare provider. If you have any question, you should contact your doctor. The sonographer will not be able to answer any questions. We do not provide any medical advice.
